#TheBrief: Why America Could Change How It Puts People to Death

Mission Statement

The Independence Rock Coalition is an organization that concentrates on influencing change in sentencing guidelines, while championing the rights of those wrongfully and unjustly convicted. We are also involved with reforming the prison system by pushing for common sense regulations that prevent the violation of all inmates’ human rights.

We at Independence Rock Coalition would like to end all miscarriages of justice, so when an individual is sentenced for a crime they did not commit, there are few organizations that advocate from them in post-convictions.

We believe that there are many people in prison that are unjustly and wrongfully convicted for crimes other than murder and are spending their life behind bars. These people have few advocates and we at IRC seek to bring attention to their plight.

So we at Independence Rock are making it our goal to go the extra mile that is needed to help all those whom everyone else has forgotten about, by receiving the justice they truly deserve.
